His bands have been Bands of America Regional Finalists and Grand Nationals Semi-Finalists for many years. His marching bands have consistently qualified for the Ohio Music Education Association Marching Band Finals for 18 years and received many awards at local, regional and national contests. In addition, his concert and jazz bands have also received similar accolades. Larry Kelley was the Director of Bands at Westerville North High School in Westerville, Ohio for 19 years and was the Director of Instrumental Music at Westerville's new High School, Westerville Central in the last 2 years of his teaching career. Prior to coming to Westerville Mr. Kelley taught at Delaware Hayes High School in Delaware, Ohio, Claymont High School in Uhrichsville, Ohio and in the Parma City Schools in Parma, Ohio. He holds a Bachelor in Music Education Degree from Mount Union College and a Masters Degree in Music Education from the University of Akron. He has been an Ohio Music Education Association Solo and Ensemble Adjudicator and Marching Band Adjudicator for 18 years, a Concert Band Adjudicator for 14 years and has been an International Adjudicator and Clinician for Heritage Festivals for 8 years. He has also adjudicated the South Carolina Marching Band Directors Association State Finals. Mr. Kelley has been a band clinician at Otterbein College, Capital University and the Ohio State University as well as at several Ohio Music Education Association Conferences. He is now retired and resides in Treasure Island, Florida where he runs his own business “Kelley Musical Arrangements & Design” as well as being an adjudicator for the Central States Judging Association. Mr. Fred Moore has been writing for bands for 40 years. His compositions and arrangements have been played at all levels from beginning through college bands. Fred taught music education in the Hopewell Area School District in Beaver County outside of Pittsburgh, Pa for 31 years. He was director of high school bands for 13 of those years. During that time his bands received adjudicated ratings of excellence and were well represented at honors, district, regional, and state festivals in Pennsylvania. He also taught brass instruments privately for many years and played keyboards professionally in a variety of bands. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Master of Music Education degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa. Following his graduate degree studies he was inducted into Pi Kappa Lamda National Music Honor Society. He is also in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Fred is now retired from teaching but continues to write compositions and arrangements for bands and ensembles which are playable and fun for players and the audience alike.
